Tasted fresh during their anniversary event was higher-rated than the bottles I saved and this rating reflects bottles.
Pours a dark ruby with minimal head--head that is there dissipates quickly into a cream-colored ring of bubbles that then disappears altogether into what almost looks still. Smells of vanilla, brown sugar, and traces of berry (not an adjunct). Taste is boozy (gastric warming), vanilla, burnt toast, and dark fruit. Carbonation is still very active and elevated. Prickly. Finish is lingering booziness with some sourness. It's a shame this didn't improve but is what it is.

500 ml bottle into a snifter. Had 10/15/22.
Pours a garnet amber, semi opaque, with no head and a few specks of cling. Aromas of vanilla, caramel, malt, oak, bourbon, some brown sugar, light char. Flavors of bourbon, vanilla, caramel, malt, raisins, some brown sugar, light alcohol warming. Has a spicy taste. Smooth, a very good medium body, appropriately carbonated.
The vanilla is pretty dominant, but the effective barrels and solid base hold up well to the vanilla onslaught. Overall, this really works for me.
