Appearance: Pours a completely hazy (5% clarity) medium to deep and dusky orange color with a massive white head. SRM of 7-8. (4.25)
Aroma: Aromas of white grape, peach, mango, and melon. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong flavors of smooth peach, green grape and vinous notes. Tropical melon underneath, but finishes with a definite vinous note. Smooth, malty oats on the finish. (4.25)
Feel: Medium-body, strong carbonation. Smooth, malty finish. (4.00)
Overall: First try at this solely Nelson IPA from The Brewing Projekt in Eau Claire. Nice tropical peach notes, but also a definitive vinous and smooth white and green grape flavor from the Nelson. This is a nice showcase of the Nelson hop. Really good stuff. Very enjoyable and one of the better ones I've had from them. (Rating: 4.12)
