500 ml bottle, no dating that I saw on the label or bottle but pretty sure this was a 2022 release. Purchased at the brewery when brewery hopping with Brutaltruth a couple months back. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like vanilla, bourbon, caramel, dark chocolate, dark fruit and some coffee. For the most part the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also the addition of some burnt/charred malt, dark bready, oak, brown sugar and a hint of licorice flavors. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's slick and somewhat syrupy with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one a lot, wishing I would have got more when I had the chance!

From the 500 ml bottle bought from the brewery. This solid imperial pours
a deep muddled blackish brown with a nice head of tan foam that settles to a
thick ring, thin dusty layer, and displays some nice light lacing, and a light swirl
gives off some great legs. Nose of bourbon, dark chocolate, dark coffee, vanilla,
oak, and spicy astringent booze laced with dark fruits. Flavors surpass the nose
with rich bourbon, oak, vanilla, dark sweet chocolate, dark coffee notes, dark berries
of black and blueberry, touch of soy and brewers licorice, and a touch of vinous notes
amongst nicely balanced char and roast.Nice mouth feel; full body, smooth, rich, coating,
warming, light carbonation, and a sweet roasted finish that is not cloying.
Well presented and delicious!
Cheers

I'm trying this beer off the at the brewery as part of a five sample flight. It poured an opaque dark with tan thin head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had hints of roast malt base with chocolate and bourbon notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with roast malt base and subtle hints of bourbon, cocoa, and vanilla highlights. The mouthfeel is fuller in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.
