500 ml bottle, 2022 release, 7 year anniversary blend. Purchased at the brewery when hanging out with Brutaltruth a while back! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with not quite an inch tan head that didn't stick around for too long. Small amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like bourbon, vanilla, dark fruit, roasted malt and dark chocolate. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some earthiness, oak, licorice and coffee flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's slick and a bit syrupy with a moderate amount of carbonation. Good amount of barrel character. I thought this was a good overall brew, definitely worth trying if you're able to!

From the 500 ml bottle in a snifter. This solid brew pours a dark blackish
brown with a moderate head of brown foam that settles to a thick ring, subtle
wafting layer, and shows faint lacing.....give her a swirl and this one has some nice
legs. Nose of bourbon, vanilla, oak, fudge, and dark fruits of raisin and date. Flavors
surpass the nose fantastically as I would expect from this brewery with oak, bourbon,
vanilla, cream, fudge, dark coffee, dark sweet cherry, raisin, dates, and touches of tobacco.
Very nice mouth feel; full body, smooth, slick, coating, warming, light carbonation, and a
rich sweet yet balanced finish that is subtly dry and perfect for a BBA imperial.
Overall-----love this brewery, fan of it every time I have visited it with Bluejacket74 and Laura.
They do big brews literally right at a Jackie O's level. Hard to pass up and near other solid breweries.
This one is no exception and had it on tap as well which made me instantly buy a bottle!
Cheers

I'm trying this beer off the at the brewery as part of a five sample flight. It poured an opaque dark with thin khaki ring head that did not leave any lace. The scent had hints of roast malt base with bold bourbon notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with subtle roast malt base offering dark chocolate and roast. The bourbon is well balanced by dark fruit and figs. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with subtle carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.
