BBA Subterfuge - Toasted Pecan & Walnut

I'm trying this beer off the at the brewery as part of a five sample flight. It poured an opaque dark with no head and no lace. The scent had hints of roast malt base with bold bourbon and mild nutty notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with subtle roast malt base offering dark chocolate and roast. The start of this beer is a bit acidic with big walnut flare.....eventually by the finish this beer settles very nicely on the pallet with maple and pecan presence mixed with bourbon undertones. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with subtle carbonation. Overall its a great beer.....I prefer the BBA Subterfuge.
