500 ml bottle, big thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a BeerAdvocate chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head that stuck around for a little while. There's a small amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like dark chocolate fudge, roasted malt, vanilla, bourbon, and some coffee. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some dark bread, burnt/charred malt and dark fruity flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's rich and a bit slick with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a pretty good overall imperial stout, definitely worth trying if you're into barrel aged brews!

From the growler via the brewery in a snifter. This stunner pours a pitch coal black
with a thick head of khaki foam that subsides to a thin ring with some excellent legs.
Nose of dark chocolate, oak, bourbon, vanilla, char, dark coffee nuances, and dark
berry notes amongst astringent booze. Flavors find 11 on the amplifier with waves
of mellow bourbon, vanilla, oak, char, brulee, dark coffee, and dark fruit notes of
dark cherry and raspberry. Mouth feel is full, smooth, rich, warming, coating,
light to subtle carbonation, and a medium dry finish.
Overall, a stunner from a stunning brewery!
Can't wait to visit again!
Cheers
