February 2020: 330 ml bottle in cardboard box, as Kingpin Full Contact American Barleywine Port Wine Barrel Aged, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 10.5%. Hazy brown colour, small and thin off-white head. Aroma of molasses, port wine, raisins and oak. Medium sweet and fruity flavour with the same elements as the aroma, while some bittering hops join the distinct oak in a drier finish.

Poured from a boxed 330 mL bottle into a Zywiec Porter glass
L: Cloudy dull caramel brown pour. Minimal fizzy off0white head... not much lacing. Not the prettiest brew.
S: Port wine and oak. A bit musty.... sweets and fruit.
T.F: Caramel and brown sugar... semi-sweet up front. Prominent port wine... oak and again some mustiness. A bit of dark fruit and spice. Medium to think bodied... warming and boozy. Smooth.
O: A reasonably decent Port Wine BA brew but there are some off/musty flavors that don't work perfectly. The wine makes it through though and there's enough sugars and dark fruit to compensate. A fun beer pickup from a trip to Poland.
