A Belgian-inspired Dubbel Ale that pairs the floral notes of local wildflower honey with stone fruit flavors from New York specialty malts. This is a beer to enjoy with grilled foods or in session with one of our other local ales. We hope you'll toast to this 100% New York take on a traditional style.

16oz can. No dating information found.
Looks to have a clear clarity, with a deep amber colored body. Light tan head but this disappears after a few minutes, leaving a mild surface storm. No lacing.
Aroma of caramel malts and dark fruit.
Taste is sweet, with flavors of caramel malt, prune, and raisin. All continue into the long lasting aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel. Slightly sticky texture. Higher ABV% is not bitter but has vapors. Rather quiet carbonation.
Stays tangy with the dark fruit more than sweet.

Chestnut brown body, tan head. Smells of dubbel malt, raisin and leather, but has an earthiness underneath that seems misplaced. Taste has a bitter herbal tea note on the finish that is weird, leather is strong too, otherwise dubbel malt bomb with very sweet candi sugar. Something is wrong here as the feel breaks down halfway through the sip, no diversity of texture beyond malt

Pours clear, ruby in color with one quarter inch head. Taste is raisin and dark bread. Medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly sweet, dry. Nice domestic version of the style. Hits all of the notes of the style. Good beer.

16oz can from Half Time. Mahogany pour, fizzy head disappears quickly. Aroma is sweet, raisins and brown sugar. Taste follows with muted sweetness, heavier on the pit fruit and raisins. A little toasty malts as well. Finishes fast.

Decanted from an 16 oz (473 ml) can into a snifter; best by 10/22/2020, code PROOST!
A: Pours a clear, chestnut brown with orange highlights, a one finger, wheat colored head, less than rim retention, but no appreciable lacing.
S: Aromas of cherrywood, honey, and banana with more nutmeg and cloves as it warms.
T: Sweet and slightly tart, but neither is overpowering. Cherrywood, banana, nutmeg, cloves, and honey definitely predominate, but complex enough that I can perceive raisin, dates, and molasses. Bitterness balanced for the most part, slightly more harsh at times early on.
M: Light to medium bodied with no more than moderate carbonation. A bit thinly bodied and carbonated for the style, but also surprisingly refreshing.
O: A drinkable, but somewhat unusual, Dubbel. Very drinkable and, as such, it seemed appropriate for Summer.
