Clear dark amber color/caramel color with dense activity. Slightly creamy light brown 3 finger head, lasting around 5 minutes, with poor legs. Flavors of caramel, nutmeg, walnuts, spruce, mint, barley, herbal hops. The smell has some kind of wood effect. Slick and smooth medium body with a moderate crisp. Light to medium strength finish, more minty than piney as you would expect from an IPA, so it's fresh in the mouth as would tooth paste. It's interesting but I find it a bit off, could be nicer in winter times from the more festive themed flavors. Still decently fresh, with a slightly leafy and cinnamon end, quite sugary similar to honey or maple. Expected a paler beer than tested at the brewery, could have a deeper maillard effect produced in the bottle. The tongue coat is pleasant. Overall decent quality craft.
