This was served in a old scratched up shaker pint. Was a deep dark clear brown color, like a darker version of Coke. The head was thin and light, typical of blue cat with carbonation always being on the low side.
the smell was light with a touch of roasted barley and a bit of dark chocolate.
The flavors work nicely together, a bit of black strap, smokey roasted barley and some dark cacao along with a touch of bitter earthy hops.
The mouthfeel is a bit light for a stout but has a touch of nice creamyness.
Not a bad easy to drink almost session style stout, could use a bit more body and carbonation but they are on the right path with this one.

Appearance: Pitch black with brown tints around the edges and a nice mocha head.
Smell: Mild...with just a touch of alcohol and roasted grain (and some soapiness from a half-washed glass)
Taste: RICH for the abv, with notes of brown sugar, molasses, a touch of roasted grain, etc
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied
Drinkability: Pretty high.
Conclusion: Nice burnt sugar and molasses flavors with high drinkability and nice body; this is their first time brewing this ale...I'd bring it back
