L: Pours a dark brown with notes of ruby, a little muddy a medium creamy head that dissipates quickly and leaves very little lacing.
S: Lots of dark earthy coffee, with notes of fruit, a little smoke, and ash. There is a lot of coffee that kinda overwhelms the Scottish ale aspects of this beer.
T: Strong dark earthy coffee, with notes of fruit, smoke, and ash. Some malt underneath, but the coffee is a little strong and gets waring on the palate. also overwhelms the Scottish ale aspects of this beer.
F: Carbonation is a little prickly for what I like but a nice heavy body.
O: I like the idea of a coffee Scottish Ale but the coffee needs to be toned in this one to get more of the Scottish Ale aspects, but it does have nice coffee flavor.
