This year’s batch of Fir Forager is transformed by a totally new grain profile, utilizing all four grains (barley, wheat, oats, and rye) from local Maltese Root Shoot Malting. Toast and caramel sweetness, cherry, and subtle spice from the grain is rounded out by the earthy and piney flavors picked up from the historic brewing technique of running wort through an aspen log filled with young spruce and fir tips.

Draft at Rock Cut. Poured a murky, brown color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left minimal lacing. It smelled earthy and spicy with some cherry and caramel. Sweet caramel, toffee and cherry taste with a spicy finish.
