Pink Boots Collab Beer.
Durga is one of the most powerful deities in Hinduism, often depicted in battle with many arms wielding different weapons and mounted on a lion or tiger. This warrior goddess is fierce yet serene, embodying peace, strength, protection, and represents the power of good to overcome and defeat evil. In celebration of International Women’s Day, the women of Rock Cut and Estes Park came together to brew this year’s Pink Boots Beer: a rye pilsner. Subtly floral with notes of white grape and pear, finishing with a hint of rye spice, this crisp beer celebrates the women in our lives who exhibit strength through love.

Sampled a cold 32 oz crowler and poured into a small sort of willi becher glass in our hotel, so sort of best available. The beer pours a bright clear gold with spongey bleached white head of about 2.5 cm foaming up.
This foam fades fairly quickly to a mild surface covering. There is some scattered lattice on the sides of the glass.
Aroma is some light biscuit with hints of white grape and also mild notes of rye spiciness.
Not really much hop note that I find or at least that I would attribute to hops. Also , not unsurprisingly, not a boozy note on the aroma either.
First sip reveals a light body with very smooth texture and fine tingly carbonation.
Flavor is a little grainy and cereal maltiness and then some light fruit and a bitey hop finish that is slightly astringent. Finish also dries out my palate on each sip.
I wish the rye came through more on the flavor profile, as I did find it in the nose. But overall the beer is an easy drinker and tasty. Glad to have picked this one up at the brewery.
