A white wine inspired ale, this sour ale is refermented with Sauvignon Blanc grape juice and dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin and Simcoe hops. Notes of brettanomyces funk, grapefruit, and white grape.

At The Cookie Bar on Drouillard Rd. in nearby Windsor, leading an outing of The Responsible Beer Drinking Club; on tap and chilled, 2oz. in a flight of 13 beers. My 20th beer from the Toronto, Ontario brewery, and 5th for 2026...

Pours little foam. Looks like a standard light golden beer color. Smells fruity.
Taste is a little sweet and sour. Sour grapes, hinting at a white wine like flavor. If your a wine fan you might like this one.
Kind of like if beer and wine had a baby...that looked very much like beer and very much like wine. They weren't sure what to call it, so they named it White Lies.
I'll drink it for tonight but honestly these are not exactly what I chase after so I doubt I buy this one again.
(I'm not the biggest wine fan).

No mention of Simcoe on the label and it’s not at all piny or dank. The hops really compliment the tartness & grapes. Really nice brew. Refined funk that’s world class.

Pours clowdy straw yellow with minimal head. The Riesling mostly noticable on the nose - flavour complex balance of souring and sweetness
