Body looks like grapefruit juice, unfiltered; pours a thick cloud of head, like a Himalayan salt marshmallow, with excellent retention of several minutes. Beauty.
Plenty of floral spice in the aroma, cinnamon and nutmeg, as well as strawberry, papaya. It's exotic, almost tropical.
On the palate, I'm getting fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, balanced sour and sweet, some rhubarb, the same spices, and a sense of hard fruit candy. There's also something less discernible, somewhat bitter like a citrus pit, but also like tequila, and at other times almost vegetal. I'm guessing it must be the rye influence, but it's quite odd - not unenjoyable. Makes it interesting, and unique. Medium body and medium-light carbonation. Off-dry finish, it's not puckeringly sour. Flavour lingers precisely as a bite of grapefruit.
A unique flavour profile, definitely worth a try. Have it on it's own, or with mexican food - that sense of a tequila cocktail grows over time.
