Got this one from the brewery in Toronto
From a 500ml bottle into a pint glass
DDH IPA with Vic Secret and Galaxy
APPEARANCE: A hazy pour yields a 1+ finger, slightly looser, creamy and foamy white head with great retention. Cloudy, almost muddy amber orange with no real carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a full, foamy cap and paints the glass with lacing. A solid wisp remains leaving good lacing down the glass.
SMELL: Pineapple, peaches, mango and oranges on the nose. Very fruity, bold and enticing. Tropical fruit aromas with a lovely orange character as well. Great stuff.
TASTE: Follows the nose to a tee. Pineapple, mango and peaches up front with some oranges and piney bitterness at the swallow. Medium finish of caramel sweetness, citrus orange flavors, peaches, tangerines, pineapple notes and a slightly piney flavored bitterness lingers. Really, really lovely.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Creamy enough on the palate, goes down fine and finishes a bit dry. Decent feel here.
OVERALL: Great stuff. Definitely the best Blood Brothers of the bunch, and perhaps the best beer I had all summer. Solid look and feel for the style, and there’s piles of tropical character and oranges all over the place. A lovely, fruity IPA that I’d love to drink on a regular basis. Excellent. Highly, highly recommended.
