The colour is stunning, a vibrant deep purple like beet juice, complete with the head acting as the froth, a colourful magenta. Sadly, that delightful head disappears in a flash.
Cream in the aroma, like a berry ice cream; raspberries and blackberries are distinct.
Fresh & pure blackberry juice is predominant, with a light tartness and bitterness from the fruit. No fakeness in the fruit, it's only lightly sweet, just like the berry. Sour yes, mildly, but more acidic than sour really. Light carbonation, bordering on flat - it needs more effervescence for sure. I believe there was supposed to be hazelnut in this as well, but there's no sign of it all.
If you like fruit beers, you might dig it. Great job at letting the berry shine. However it lacks structure and carbonation, and I wouldn't mind more sourness and sense of fermentation.
