This Imperial dessert stout was brewed with chocolate and aged on peanuts and caramel. Aromas of peanut and caramel meld into the palate with the addition of dark roast and chocolate. Expect a full bodied mouth coating dessert experience.

Bottle: Poured a black color stout with a super large brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of peanut and chocolate is interesting, but some light sour notes are kind of off balance. Taste is mix of peanut and sweet chocolate notes with some light sour and acidic notes, which seems to indicate beer may have turned. Body is light with very strong carbonation and almost gushing when I opened the bottle. It could been an enjoyable beer but it appears the beer turned and the acidic notes ruined the drinkability.

This one pours very dark brown, not black as expected and leaves no traces of a head. More carbonated than this style usually is. The nose, a bit metallic, is of maple, peanuts.
The taste is lovely, you can also taste the caramel and vanilla. The aftertaste is bitter and boozy.
Nicely done, better than expected.
