A gift from a friend, thank you! I served the beer in a tulip glass at 46 degrees. The hard pour did create a half-fingered frothy off-white head. After the dismal head retention, no lacing was left on the glass. The deep golden yellow charts around SRM 6. Yeast floaties are abundant, thus making the beer somewhat hazy. The appearance is average; I was expecting better head retention.
The hop aromas are different. I smell pine, berries, grapefruit, passion fruit, mangos, pineapples, floral, and a touch of herbal. The malts are lightly toasted. The yeast gives some breadiness to beer. Other aromas I detect are a touch of dank and a hint of band-aids. The beer does not present with the cardboard or any other off aromas.
Oh this beer hop combination is rather unique loads of fruity flavors like mangos, pineapple, peaches, pears, floral, strawberries, grapefruit and orange. Additional hop flavors are floral, pine, a hint of resin, and a touch of herbal. The malt backbone is lightly toasted bread, crackers, and cereal grains. I also taste band-aid, dank basement and grass.
The mouthfeel is astrigent and oily, finishing somewhat harsh and tannic. The body is medium-plus and medium-low carbonation.
The beer is three plus months old, but it is still fresh. The odd hop combination gave it a unique flavor. Not a the biggest fan of this beer but it a solid DIPA.

Appearance is a cloudy orange / yellow with loads of dense off-white colored head. Outstanding retention and good lacing. Overall and attractive beer. Aroma is relatively standard fare. Tropical hops with some piney notes. Taste follows the nose. There is a pleasant enough light bitterness up front, complemented by mango and faint grapefruit. Medium bodied with a fairly clean finish. .

Overall an enjoyable DIPA.

Pouring a pale orange, this one from the series forms an aggressive head, but it does settle down fairly quickly. The nose is of honey and green grapes, which seems to be the go to formula for so many brews nowadays. And the white wine taste of course follows. This usually comes from the somewhat inferior Nelson Sauvin hops, but there aren't any of them in here. But there is Strata, which doesn't exactly sets the world on fire, balanced by Simcoe and HBC 586, which sounds more like an exoplanet than a hop.
The bottom line is that this one is not that great. Velvety, to be sure, but this new tangy IPA that everyone rushes to make does not make a fan out of this guy.
