Can from LCBO...pours a clouded deep gold with orange highlights....aroma is complex with notes of exotic fruit, grape skins, floral over a sweet malt base with some earthy mustiness...medium bodied, mild flavorful character and silken mouth feel...flavor is incredibly well balanced for such a big flavored ale....there are hints of stone fruit, mago, grape, pear and sweet malts swirling on the palate creating a complexity as they settle in....long wet silky finish is fruity and not bitter...a unique IPA

Canned 8/3/23
We have another pick from the LIF box from Coronaeus this afternoon. Another Canadian brewery that I haven’t heard of previously, but I’m quite excited to try another Canadian NEIPA. Let’s crack it open and see what it’s all about
Pours a hazy pale gold with 3 fingers of soapy white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing
The nose is tropical and bright, we’re off to a good start. I’m picking up on aromas of overripe cantaloupe, orange zest, pineapple juice, grassy hops, bready malt, white pepper, papaya, dank weed, and lime zest
It’s not quite as expressive in taste but I still really dig it. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting orange juice, bready malt, papaya, earthy hops, white grape, dank weed, mango skin, and light grass. The swallow brings notes of papaya, pineapple juice, earthy hops, mango skin, grass, white pepper, orange zest, and weed
A medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a smooth beer. Finishes neutral with a balanced bitterness
This is damn good all around. Coronaeus sent me yet another winner

473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for around $4.50.
Appearance - Very hazy, semi turbid golden brew with some orange and white in the background. Milkshake esque. A finger plus of slow forming frothy white head with good retention. Great rings of lacing left behind too.
Smell - Orange and some mango with a touch of creamy wheaty creamsicle type action in the background. Intensity is pretty good too.
Taste - Matches the nose with orange and especially the mango and papaya combo coming through. A hint of grapefruit in the background. Less sweet than you'd expect from a creamier NEIPA; the bitterness is very welcome.
Mouthfeel - Medium-full body, carbonation is medium-light and the brew is fairly juicy with a little bit of dry astringency towards the end.
Overall - A very well crafted brew that is this close to being another quarter point up on its taste score, a brew that is more than the sum of its parts. Very strong brew from Blood Brothers.
