This pours orange with a lot of carbonation, yet there is no head. The nose is mostly of mango, papaya and kiwi.
Now, I have tried to stay away from Nectaron hops as most New Zealand hops make the beer tart and to me, that's no fun. So this is my first drink with that hop. The problem is that there is also Tropical Infusion here, which in itself is a mix of three different NZ hops, plus 1019, which is yet another hop. So I won't actually find out how Nectaron is.
Anyway. The taste.
Very tropical, with sweet malt blending in. Not that great as my preference is a different type of body in an IPA. I like less sweetness for sure.
Boozy aftertaste and late, lingering bitterness.
This is a one-off for me and my search for the real taste of Nectaron begins. Still suspicious of it though.

Here we go again. Starting my evening with a 10% Imperial IPA hog.
Pours a dirty yellow brown color. Small white head of foam that smells just like a mango peach pineapple mix.
This one is actually pretty nice. Tastes like there's mango juice in it, with other tropical flavors. Not so much on the side of citrous on this IPA. There is a decent amount of peach or nectarine. The high ABV is well hidden. Doesn't taste boozy at all. For a tropical IPA, they did a good job here. Overall beat my expectations.
If you like this style of beer, then do yourself a favor and grab this one. For the most part it's good.
