Pours a tan head of foam. Very dark brown, almost black color with a slight roasted aroma. Tastes roasted and of lightly burnt bread. Mild metallic taste. No where near as strong as a German smoked beer I've had before. If you never had a smoked beer before, this would be a better starter.
Overall it's not bad and I almost want to say it's similar to a porter that's been in the oven a little long. Can't say I'll have too many of these but if your curious then give it a try. If you like it then try to find a German one, that is much more intense than this one.
