This decadent beast of a stout was brewed for you with our friends at Third Moon Brewing. This is the richest, dark chocolate cherry cheesecake you will ever consume. We brewed this beer extremely high gravity with powdered cream cheese, dark cherry and cocoa. The mouthfeel is thick and creamy with cherry pie filling and dark chocolate on the palate. The cream cheese adds texture as well as a slight tanginess to complete this no bake recipe.

A- Well if I thought any other pastry stout had the appearance of motor oil, I was wrong.....this is thick like molasses/motor oil, and even takes its time to pour out of the bottle! It is black in color, with cherry colored hues around the outside ring at the top of the brew. There doesn't appear to be too much for carbonation and the lacing looks like somebody took actual cheesecake and blended it into the liquid...I haven't seen anything like this before.....there are actual small chunks of 'stuff' clinging to the inside of the glass....I know there was actual cheesecake used in the recipe so I guess this makes sense?!
S- Well this definitely has the aroma of the namesake style....definite cherry and dark chocolate is noted, with, dare I say, good ol' fashioned cheesecake! There is a certain booziness in the aromas, and heavy malt too.....charred and chocolatey. The finish is smooth, of cocoa and cheesecake, with perhaps a slight tinge of hopped bitterness....interesting....very interesting!
T- Well, as the aromas were stated, the flavors follow suit well, with intense tart cherry, NY style cheesecake, heavy duty dark chocolate and/or cocoa.....it truly tastes like the dessert it is patterned after! There are hidden flavors of charred black/chocolate malts, and a finish that is of muted leafy goodness. This really lingers on the palate after the taste!
M/O- I have to say that this is most definitely the heaviest bodied beer that I've had to date.....it is chewy, literally, as there are many suspended particles throughout, likely from the use of cheesecake powder. The carbonation is there, and is surprisingly smooth, but it's no wonder why it isn't available to look at after pouring. The drinkability factor I would say is low, as it is more of a sipper and I will have a hard time getting through this entire bottle....most definitely something you want to share with two to three more people and all have maybe a 4oz glass to sample. Overall, it its flavorful and is what it says it is....alcohol is virtually missing, but I am good after having this bottle....glad I tried it as it's good but its likely too robust and thick for an individual to truly enjoy in a sitting.....it is hard to get this bottle down.
