Copenhagen 6/7 2022. 50 cl bottle from BulgarskMad, Åboulevarden, Kbh. N. Simple yellow label in Labietis’ usual design with the bearded fellow in the logo and a signature from the brewer. Very gushing upon opening making puddles in my kitchen.
Pours unclear - almost hazy - amber with a huge, frothy white head. Settles as a 1 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with an odor of sweet malts mingling with sour grainy notes. Sweet caramel, toffee and hints of brown sugar. Sharp grainy notes.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is quite sweet with a light tart undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is rather dry.
Fairly well-balanced Bock but I could do without the gushing.
