At the brewery. Big Bear is the brand they use for their non-cask ales.
Murky brown color with a thick thin beige head with decent retention. Not as black as usual for the style.
Aroma with predominant notes of dark chocolate, some coffee and mint.
Flavor with predominant cocoa notes with hints of pine, toffee, homemade coffee, grapefruit, roasted malts and a bit of tobacco. Dry and bitter aftertaste.
Medium body with mild carbonation.
This is actually an American Brown Ale, and if you assume that, it is quite a nice one combining bold cocoa notes with piney hops.
