Family members purchased Southwark Brewing's Big Bear Pale Ale from the brewery and brought home to the U.S. last year. Poured from a 330ml bottle (stating Best Before 03/2020) into a typical pint glass this month (04/2020). Darker in appearance than an American Pale Ale and possessed a more hefty mouthfeel. Despite the relatively modest 4.9% ABV, Big Bear Pale Ale drinks larger than indicated. The presence of barley malt didn't detract from the floral taste/aroma. Label stated that Big Bear Pale Ale was late hopped with American hops. I haven't been to England in years, but this beer rekindled the fire of many happy memories.
