Wow was this one certainly unique.
At first the company I was in liked this, then from there went to gagging over it, then went back to liking it.
If ever there is proof that proper beer pairing is a real thing, this was it. It seems the savory vegetal notes of peas turn the sweetness level of One Sweet Dream to 11, but saltier foods bring it back down to Earth.
This too had a reddish hue, but little head.
First impression was Southern sweet tea, both on the nose and flavorwise. As it warmed, licorice came to the fore.
I'm not quite sure what brew this is inspired by, if any at all, but I haven't had it up until now. Certainly something I will be open to trying again, if not to diversify my palate.
