Named after one of the tall-ship Clippers that carried coffee from the Horn of Africa to the London docks in the golden age of the coffee trade, our collaboration brew with Tree City Coffee and Solstice Roasters utilizes a blend of beans roasted to highlight what is special about both the bean and the beer.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This porter pours a dark coffee black with a
very nice head of khaki foam that settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and shows
some excellent lacing. Nose of dark coffee, chocolate, dark fruit hints, and heavy
char and roast. Flavors expand on the nose with dark chocolate layered in strong
black coffee, subtle cream, char, and dark fruits of black berry and raspberry wtih
a touch of smoke. Mouth feel is medium full, light soft carbonation, and finishing
with a bitter malt and coffee note.
Overall, NICE!
Cheers

Baba Yaga | Royal Docks Brewing Company. Poured from the can into a pint glass, this has a two finger thick light tan head, spotty lacing, and an obsidian hued body.
I smell(surprise) coffee and roasted malts.
Tasting a mild sweetness going along with the coffee and malts. Dare I say it's a cappuccino porter?
Medium mouthfeel with mild carbonation.
I'm giving Baba Yaga | Royal Docks Brewing Company an overall 4.

I got a 6pck of this from my local Kroger. It poured an opaque dark with ecru head that is leaving some lace. The scent had coffee roast notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with cocoa and coffee flare. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

Look: Creamy, small bubbled foam that creates a nice dark tan head, the body is pretty black and opaque. Poured from a can with date of 9.11.18. After the head died, it was a pretty flat surface with edge lacing.
Smell: Chocolatey and roasty up front, followed by coffee. Not overbearing and you can slightly smell it without putting your nose in the glass which is a good sign.
Taste: Really good. There is a nice sweetness that offsets the roastiness that was noticable from the nose. There's a milkiness to this too. Otherwise, there's roasted malt and chocolate flavors at play too.
Feel: Smooth, creamy, heavy, soft carbonation that plays on the tongue nicely
Overall: Excellent beer, I can see why the other reviews and ratings are high.

Poured from can into pint glass. Foaming is minimal and recedes quickly, leaving a thin rim of lacing around the glass. It is very dark and opaque.
Smell is absolutely wonderful. Coffee lovers will love the intense roasty aromas of this porter.
The taste experience is full of deep coffee flavors with chocolate and just a small hint of bright fruitiness. Taste is comparable to chocolate-covered espresso beans.
I thoroughly enjoyed this porter, a nice twist on coffee flavors.

Rich, deep coffee aroma. Pours an opaque black with a quickly fading light tan head. Flavor has a touch of chocolate, with low carbonation creating a rich, velvety mouthfeel. The finish is roasted coffee, with a lingering bitterness. Overall a nice change of pace from some of the coffee stouts out there.

12 ounce can, 02/04/2018 stamped on the bottom of the can (not sure if it's a canned on or best by date). Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stayed around a while. There's a decent amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like coffee, bittersweet chocolate, nuts and roasted malt. For the most part I think the taste is just like the aroma, but there's also some dark bread and burnt/charred malt flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit creamy and coating with a good amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good coffee porter, I know I'd like to try this one again in the future! One of my friends gave me a can of this recently, glad I got to try it!

12 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 2/4/2018. Pours crystal clear nearly opaque dark brown color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of nutty dark roasted coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, and toasted brown bread; with lighter notes of vanilla, smoke, char, dark fruit, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. A bit too fruity/yeasty aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with good strength. Taste of big nutty dark roasted coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, and toasted brown bread; with lighter notes of vanilla, smoke, char, dark fruit, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate roast/char and herbal/spicy hop bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of nutty dark roasted coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, vanilla, light smoke/char, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great roast/hop malt/bitterness balance; zero acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from hop/char bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.7%. Overall this is a very nice American coffee porter. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink; with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Great fruity/nutty coffee flavors, with nicely rich and well rounded porter malt complexity. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Best by 2/4/18. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours almost black with a small light khaki head that fades leaving nice retention and lacing. The aromas have really nice coffee notes. Hints of chocolate and vanilla in the mix. Roasted malts are there. The flavors follow the nose perfectly. Nice coffee flavors. More chocolate and vanilla. It's bold and balanced. Mild sweetness with a moderate bitterness. Finishes dry with some roasted characteristics. Malts do their thing. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is is on the lighter side of medium-bodied with active carbonation. It's smooth and easy drinking stuff.
This is a great coffee porter. Really nice aromas and flavors. The craftsmanship is impressive. It's very enjoyable and fun to drink. Well done. Definitely worth checking out if you come across it.

I don't have a lot of time to review, but need a brew.
This one is black, and fizzy. The aroma is strongly of coffee. The taste is roasty and coffee. Definitely good. One of their better efforts.
Recommended.

I guess I have more time today. This is from a big can. It pours a little thin and not too fizzy. It has a nice coffee smell - not too strong. The taste is nicely balanced between roasty malts and coffee. It has a clean finish and is not very boozy. Popularly priced.
It should be noted that this 2022 version has a cooler label, comes in 16 oz cans, and is 7.2% ABV.
