Dark beer out of the tap with some ruby highlights at the edges. Short beige head. Nose of burnt sugar and chocolate. Lactose sweetness with burnt sugar astringency, milk chocolate, and dark malts. Long bitter finish. Interesting milk stout.

Continuing to clear out the refrigerator, we have a marshmallow stout with worth more than JK Rowling's ability to plan out a story and have morals. 12 oz. poured into a pint glass.
L: Black with a nice, tan head. Some lacing lingering.
S: It smells quite strongly of malt and marshmallow.
T: The taste is where it's at. It's as advertised - it's malty, followed by the toasted marshmallow. It's accurate to the smell. Tasting notes from my first bottle show surprise at it not being anywhere near as sweet as expected (and probably not a good idea to make it sweeter, as past me was curious about).
F: It's lighter for a stout, normal, medium-bodied, decent amount of carbonation. Pretty smooth and non-lingering for a stout.
It's a good sipper that isn't very sweet. Yes, you probably won't have more than one in a night, but it's still worth having again.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours almost black; small khaki head that fades leaving okay retention and lacing. The aromas are malt forward. Some cocoa, vanilla and caramel. The aromas really open up as it warms a bit. The flavors basically follow the nose for the most part. More cocoa. There's a decent amount of vanilla coming through. Some caramel in the mix. Subtle lactose. Subtle sweetness. Low bitterness. Malts do their thing. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's slightly thin but still has some body to it. It's fluffy, smooth and easy to drink.
This is a solid milk stout. It's not too flashy, but there's still a marshmallow vibe going on. It's enjoyable. Not bad.

12 ounce can, canned on 02.13.20, label says 7.3% ABV. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with a couple inch tan head that stuck around a while. There's a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is nice and sweet, the brew smells like cocoa, marshmallows, maple, vanilla and roasted malt. Taste is similar to the aroma with marshmallow, maple, vanilla, coffee, burnt/charred malt and earthy flavors. I think the aroma is sweeter compared to the taste, but it's still a sweet tasting beer in general. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit creamy with a lot of carbonation (almost too much). Overall I liked this, worth trying if you're into sweeter tasting brews.

Thanks to donnieT79 for this one, from NBS BIF #11. 12oz can (dated 2/13/20) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a solid black color with 1-3/4 inches of brown head that had moderate retention and no lacing.
A nice blast of marsh mallow on the crack of the can, and solid roast, bordering on coffee notes, upon a better sniff from the glass.
On the tongue, the roast was more dominant, with a bit of a licorice kick at the back end.
the body was light for the style, well-carbonated, smooth, and (somewhat surprisingly) a semi-sweet finish. i was borderline expecting a very sweet finish.
Drinkability was fine, I enjoyed this beer, but I wouldn't want 2 in a row.
Overall, a pretty nice brew. Certainly worth trying if you get the chance.

Deathly Mallows toasted marshmallow milk stout from Royal Docks Brewing Company. Poured from the can into a snifter, this sports a three finger thick khaki head, with solid lacing, and a jet black body.
I smell not very much toasted marshmallows. Rather just nicely toasted malts and grains that are giving off the hint this will have a touch of sweetness to it.
Tastes like, yes, toasted marshmallows. The malts do a great job here of yet again being the real star of the show with this brew. It is not too sweet at all. Very smooth with a surprisingly clean finish.
Medium mouthfeel with mild carbonation.
Overall, I'll rate Deathly Mallows with a 4.25
