Someone once said that brewing an IPA with fruit was a crime. Well, call the cops. An obscene amount of passionfruit coupled with about an acre of Citra and Simcoe hops produces an IPA loaded with juicy, peachy-passion flavour and aromatics that are simply steaming with tropical hop character.

Crime of Passionfruit | Royal Docks Brewing Company. Poured from the can into a pint glass, this has a three finger thick head, webbed lacing, and a hazy golden amber body.
Smells juicy(pun intended) and slightly sweet.
I taste a very pleasant mix of the hops and fruit. Not too sweet or bitter; very refreshing.
Medium-light mouthfeel with mild carbonation.
I'm gonna go ahead and rate Crime of Passionfruit | Royal Docks Brewing Company with an overall 4.5

Crime of Passionfruit brewed by Royal Docks Brewing Company, with an ABV of 6.30% This American IPA pours out of a 12oz can into a a pint beer glass. This brew is a hazy golden amber color with the a nice white head. There is a nice amount of lacing to this brew it, it sticks to the side of the glass well. The smell is rich with hop bitterness mixed with sweet fruits. You pick up on lots of earthy grains and malts in the smell as well. So far this is a nice inviting brew. Now for the taste, it is Bold with flavors. Sweet and sour fruit flavors is the first thing you pick up on. Then a nice amount of hop bitterness , mixed with earthy grains and malts at the end. Really enjoyable brew, this brew would go nice with dinner or a cool day. This is a well put together American IPA. The body of Crime of Passionfruit is a soild medium. It is really hard to pick up on the 6.30% ABV in this brew, it is just that smooth. The mouth feel is Bold, Rich, Clean, Smooth, cand Refreshing. Overall I am going to give Crime of Passionfruit a solid 4 out of 5. I would definitely look this brew up again giving the opportunity to. Royal Docks Brewing Company, did a super nice job with this American IPA.

12 oz can from Ohio. 27 March 2018 canning date stamp.
Hazy amber colored body with a decent head.
Very fruity aroma and flavor. Mildly bitter. An excellent and generous addition of passionfruit together with a complementary mix of hops make this one of the best passionfruit beers I've tried.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 3/27/2018. Pours moderately hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy passion fruit, skin, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, passion fruit, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy passion fruit, skin, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy passion fruit, skin, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, passion fruit, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness and fruit tang/tartness balance; with no astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and fruit tang/tartness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, fairly crisp/resinous/rindy, and acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.3%. Overall this is an excellent fruited IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, passion fruit, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and pretty refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/tart/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Simcoe and Citra hops. Very juicy and fairly dank hop/fruit complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with mild lingering sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example. Not overdone on any aspect.

Appearance - The beer poured a golden yellow color with a white head on tap at the brewpub.
Smell - Passion fruit is very evident in the nose.
Taste - Love you have a nice passionfruit presents with a drier wheat backbone. With a little salt, could almost pass for a gose. The fruit carries nicely in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Carbonation is appropriate for the style in allows the wheat to shine.
Overall - This was best in show on my visit to Royal Docks.

12 FL. OZ can
Served in an oversized, stemless, wine glass
This beer pours kind of an orangish color with golden highlights. It is hazy and topped with an inch of tan head that leaves decent lacing.
The aroma is strong with this one. There are tons of passion fruit.
The passion fruit overwhelms the palate as well. There is a little citrus in the finish otherwise this would taste like a fruit ale.
Medium mouthfeel
At first it was like drinking a scented soap. Once it warmed a bit and I realized that it was passion fruit flavor I enjoyed it. I have not had a beer that was this passion fruit forward before. It caught my untutored palate off guard. It grew on me as I drank it. I am ready for another now.

Fruited AIPA's are pretty popular for a good reason. They work. This one is a good example of how they work.
It pours cloudy, dirty yellow and without a lot of fizz. The aroma is pretty strongly fruit dominated, like a nice alcoholic punch. The taste is a good compliment of AIPA bitterness and mostly sweet fruit flavors, for a nice balance. Although the fruit adds a little tartness, it's effect is sweeter than some of the style (fruited IPA). The aftertaste is a nice bitter-sweet that lingers and refreshes.
Recommended, if you like fruity brews (I sure do).
