Our white stout is a golden pale, full bodied and strong. We’ve added back the chocolate love, roastiness and vanilla notes with healthy doses of the real McCoy; Ghanaian cocoa nibs, Chanchamayo coffee and Madagascar vanilla beans . At a strength of 8.7% this is a true stout in the historical sense of the word unlike many modern stouts of any colour.
Named for the schooner Lady Lovibond, a ghost ship that appears cast in an eerie white glow to lure rescuers to their own demise in the North Sea, our white stout is likewise not what she appears. With the coffee roastiness, chocolaty maltiness and vanilla sweetness expected of its darker kin, Lovibond eschews typical ingredients and relies instead on real coffee, cocoa and vanilla beans for ballast.

This being my first white stout, it took a few sips for my brain to believe that the amber-colored liquid that I was tasting was actually a stout.
Look: Minimal head and lacing, carbonation bubbles rising nonstop throughout, semi-transparent.
Smell: Strong smell of coffee, not brewed, but ground, like opening a fresh can of coffee.
Taste: Taste is more nuanced than the smell. Coffee, chocolate, vanilla.
Feel: Crisp, but not watery. Smooth, but not thick-tasting.
Overall, delicious beer that I will definitely enjoy again.

This is probably the best blonde stout I've ever had. All the flavors are perfectly balanced out of the pour from the keg and the abv keeps the malty backbone intact. I loved this actually, the only one that still felt like a stout even though it looked like a golden ale

Lovibond brewed by Royal Docks Brewing Company, with an ABV of 8.70% This American Imperial Stout pours out of a 12oz can into a pint beer glass. The color is a deep golden amber color with a nice white head. The can states that this is a White Coffee Stout. Now I understand why it says that, this is not your typical deep brown almost black coffee Stout. Not saying that is a bad thing. There is also a nice amount of lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the glass well. The smell is rich with coffee notes mixed with roasted grains an malts . So far this is a nice inviting brew. Now for the taste, it is Bold with flavors. The coffee notes stand out but the roasted grains an malts tie it all together. The body of Lovibond is a solid medium. It is really hard to pick up on the 8.70% ABV in this brew, it is just that smooth. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it has a super nice balance to it. If you are a fan of coffee, you should look this one up. The mouth feel is Bold, Coffee, Rich, Roasted, Clean, Smooth and Refreshing. Overall I am going give Lovibond a 4.25 out of 5. I would definitely look this brew up again givin the opportunity too.

Lovibond from Royal Docks Brewing Company. Poured from the can into a snifter, this has a four finger thick head, spottier lacing, and a clear profoundly golden body.
I smell masterfully roasted and caramelized malts alongside the added cocoa and coffee elements. Can't detect the higher ABV based on scent alone.
Tastes like a mildly sweet version of the aroma with tobacco, leather, and currant. Very smooth and surprisingly clean finish. Again, not boozy; which is ok in my book.
Medium mouthful with mild carbonation.
Overall, Lovibond from Royal Docks Brewing Company gets a 4.5 from yours truly.

This is a "white stout". Canned on 4/8/19. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a glowing golden with some haze to it; huge chunky and rocky white head that falls very slowly leaving great frothy retention and sticky lacing. The aromas are malt forward. Hints of cocoa with a nice amount of vanilla. The flavors basically follow the nose. More cocoa along with some chocolate and coffee. More vanilla. Moderate bitterness. Malts do their thing. Alcohol is well hidden. Mouthfeel is full-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. It's sharp, smooth and dangerously drinkable.
This is a pretty solid brew. It's basically what you would expect from a "white stout". It's enjoyable and fun to drink. They did a nice job with this one. Well done.
