A tawny ale aged for over a year in whiskey, bourbon and rum barrels and gently infused with molasses, raisin and maple.
LOST YEAR SERIES: The year 2020 was the lost year; rare are the things which emerged better at the end than at the beginning. These four ales, laid down through all of 2020 are among those scarce exceptions. Hand blended and bottle-conditioned in 2021, they offer an inimitable taste of what might have been.

500 ml orange wax capped bottle, no dating on it but it was released earlier this year. Served in a snifter, the beer pours a somewhat clear reddish/brown color with a huge off-white head. It fizzled away after a little bit, but still with a good amount of lacing. It's very carbonated and it took a few pours to get a decent amount of it into the glass. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like apple, rum, dark fruit, raisin, molasses and caramel. For the most part the taste is the same as the aroma, but there's also some bready malt, maple, and boozy flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's creamy, coating and easy to drink with a good amount of carbonation. Took a while to settle down but it was good when it did! Really glad I picked up the Lost Year series brews, this is a nice one. If you're into fruitier old ales then this one is worth trying!
