I tried the "Summer Edition" (the snowman is dressed for summer - get it?), although the Summer and Winter editions are the same beer. Pours a light golden color with a weak white head. Aroma is very light hops and a little fruit. Light bodied with mostly sweet fruit flavors and a mild hops presence. Slight citrus finish. Overall this beer is below average.

This ale pours with a deep clear golden color. There is an expansive fruity floral aroma. The lighter flavor consists of mellow sweet malt and a grapefruit hop flavor. The body is not to light with a light fruity finish. A very drinkable offering.

Part of a series of Berger reviews from a sampler and to see if the Chocolate Stout has any better siblings.
Clear and darker gold color, 1/4 inch head of little duration. Subtle aroma, nothing to characterize. A little hoppy, malts are decent in impact but mostly a generic brown sugar in flavor. Consistent from front to back, little interest or change in flavor. Pretty unidimensional, needs more characteristics.

dark dirty yellow color...pours a decent head which died quickly. earthy aroma...moderate body and a pretty malty character. grassy hop character in the finish...i'm guessing that a lot of beers might have tasted similar to this in the infancy of american breweries before they started filtering the hell out of them and diluting them with rice and corn and using hops that impart a neutral bitterness.

Light and sweet malt aroma, with little blend of hops. Medium to dark gold, very clear. Fizzy sounding head, that's fairly stable. Heavier malt flavor than expected, with a nice overall smoothness. Some sense of hard water. Finish is short and not very dry. Medium towards light mouthfeel that helps with the smoothness. Nice overall beer that I figure would be good, especially on a hot day.
