L- Black, not even a halogen torch behind gets a photon through it. Pours with 2mm tan head.
S- Deep roasty-toasty notes incl mild smoke.
T- Definitely smoke notes, and big black coffee, reminds me overall of a morning-after pile of cold log-ashes in a fireplace.
F- Pungent feel, yet thankfully not over-rich. It's pungent enough to be a slow-sipping beer, perhaps esp suited for colder months. For 7% it's pretty full-on whilst not relying on sweetness for mouthfeel.
O- I like it - it probably helps if you like espresso coffee. I know very little about this beer except for the basics: I bought it from TremblingMadness/York for home-delv to London. 330ml can £4.20 BB: 18/11/2021. File this under 'Big coffee stouts, without the rich/sweet blitz'.
