so excited to get to drink a few of these, after hearing some incredible feedback about these beers. this one is a blend of different wild ales of various maturity, not quite gueuze type, the beers dont come across as entirely lambic, and i dont think the ages are right, but its mighty well done and awfully complex. it looks a bit still in the glass, but it isnt when i drink it, a golden color with a little haze from the bottle. it smells vinous and oak forward right away, with a newer vanilla complexion, even a touch sweet, and then some red wine jammy properties and tannins. neat balance between grain and wood in this, and with some decent acidity, but for me its the funky character this has that makes it unique, bretty but distinctive to me, well developed, with strong lemon and lemon soda elements, and the right kind of pucker. cool complexity on this, id love to know a little more about the beers in the blend and whats up with this yeast profile, but its a treat to drink, mature and interesting, although not my favorite of the several of these we recently got to enjoy! if tommie sjef is not on your radar yet, get hip to it, you are missing out!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
