12oz can stamped "CHUG THE LUG 06/10/21" poured into a becher glass at fridge temp 5.3% ABV. The beer pours hefe-hazy in a golden color with nearly white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and single layer of bubbles. The aroma is mild with grainy barley malt. The taste is semisweet & tart malt with a hint of lemon Pledge. Minimal bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin bodied with slightly below average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, poor Helles and not a particularly enjoyable beer.

On tap at Big Lug Country Pub, Pendleton IN. Beautiful, golden color. No head (though, I think that was the doing of the bartender, as no other beers at our table were delivered with a head, with every glass poured to the rim.) The taste was thin and unimpressive, with barely a hint of maltiness. Frankly, I started to wonder if I hadn't been poured an ever-so-slightly maltier Bud, given the character-free nature of this beer. Pretty disappointing beer, which I struggled to finish, due to it being nothing I really wanted to keep drinking. Which, if I'm being honest, seems to be in-keeping with most of the other Big Lug offerings I've tried elsewhere.
