The appearance was a thick dark brown close to black color with a dark eggshell white foamy head that slid off at a mild pace, some sly stringy lace ran here and there.
The aroma had a nice blend of sweet cocoa powder to bitter dark chocolate and an ample amount of roastiness telling me that it's an American stout.
The flavor was nicely blended between sweet, roasty and bitter - pulling all of these qualities together to present a really nice all around stout. Mild aftertaste of sweet and roasty.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a touch of sessionability about it. Carbonation felt spot on. ABV felt appropriate. Nice roasty grind on the finish just as expected and wanted.
Overall, pretty nice American styled stout that I would like to have again.
