Pours a clear brown/amber with a thick tan head, decent retention and spotty lacing. Aroma is roasted caramel malt and dark bread. Flavor follows the nose, slightly sweet up front, but quickly turns bitter. Feel is medium bodied, lightly carbonated. Overall, just so-so as far as Oktoberfest beers go.

Appearance: Pours a clear, deep brown to deep golden color with a strong off white head. SRM of 13-14. (3.75)
Aroma: Strong toast and bread crust aromas. Bread toast, dry, brown grains and German malt. Somewhat earthy. Dry and hints of nuts.
Flavor: Strong flavors of brown bread , brown bread crust, toast. Dry brown grains, rye and toast flavor. Slightly floral and nutty. A dry finish.
Feel: Medium to lighter bodied, strong carbonation. Finish is dry and clean.
Compared to Ursa Minor Oktoberfest 9/19/22: Pours similar appearance, stronger aromas. More brown bread, crust, toast, dry grains. Less sweet brown bread malt. Lighter, cleaner, dryer
Compared to Schells Oktoberfest 9/19/22: Pours darker, stronger aromas. More brown bread, crust, toast, dry grains. less sweet brown bread malt. Lighter, cleaner, dryer.
Overall: A nice Oktoberfest Marzen right here. Nice, toasty, earhty brown bread crust and grains. Dry, slightly floral. Hints of nuts. Well-carbonated for a clean and dry finish. (Rating: 3.99)

Murky, cloudy "home-brewed iced tea" amber below a tall, thick, creamy off-white head with good retention, leaving stringy, sticky lacing as it receded. On the positive side, the head is nice looking and hangs around awhile. Otherwise, it is kind of ugly. And, as it turns out, "Look" got the highest score from me for this beer! So, you know where this is going...
Aroma is quite weak. Malty. Bready, with hints of fruit and spice. (But, just hints.)
Taste is inoffensive, but, as with the aroma, weak. Fruit, spice, and bread (as expected), but too weak to be really distinctive. It just all kind of combines together in a muddle. The finish is decidedly bitter, especially the more you drink.
Mouth feel is thin. There is enough body to keep it out of watery territory, but it is approaching the border.
Overall, a middling OK drinkable beer, but a rather unimpressive märzen. The Oktoberfest-Märzen competition in Minnesota is tough, with the likes of Schell's, Surly, and Summit being challenged - and some say exceeded - by impressive offerings from some of the smaller guys. If OMNI expects to compete against the other players in this market, they'll need to step up their game.

Wow is all I can say. Had on tap at the brewery during their Oktoberfest celebration, and the beer was not malt predominant as some are. Even my friend said the same and she enjoyed it (she LOVES IPA). Delicious and worth trying.
