Beer pours a dark brown color with a tan head that fades quickly. Mild aroma with a mixture of coffee, lactic acid and nutty notes. Flavor is crisp and concise, medium thin body but enjoyable and sessionable. Good but not great sour.

Thanks to Thome50 for his generosity in hooking me up with this offering from Libertine Pub & Brewing.
Poured from a 750mL into a hill farmstead teal balloon.
APPEARANCE: Pours with minimal head and lower carbonation. Nice ruby brown color shows throught the glass. Overall a nice looking beer, consistent with what I would expect from a sour/porter blend.
SMELL: Tart cherry smell up front when poured cold. As it warmed, the coffee smell became more evident over the tartness.
TASTE: Follows the nose. Tart cherry taste when cold/cool. Very nice tartness that is not too sour or puckering at all. Nice little bit of funk detected as well at the end of a sip. As the beer warmed the coffee began to come through in the taste as well with the tartness mellowing out nicely.
PALATE: Light bodied beer with lower carbonation. Very smooth taste that finished with a mild dryness. Not too much tartness or coffee linger on the palate.
OVERALL: This is a very good sour/wild beer. I find it to be just the right amount of tartness mixed with the roasty coffee flavors of the porter. Very impressed with this first offering I have had from them and am looking forward to trying more of their stuff. I could drink this one regularly.

Strong sour and acidity throughout. Heavy chocolate flavor with slight fruit notes. Reminds me of what a chocolate covered cherry sour beer would taste like.
