I feel like I got teleported back to California with a visit at Raised Grain. It's part of an industrial park, and inside, the taproom is massive. Large open spaces throughout, plenty of stools and tables to sit, an outdoor patio, and a separate gift shop. Bustling nicely around 5pm on a Friday, so I think that the word is out for Raised Grain.

Exciting taplist as well. 18 different beers pouring, with five different IPA's, an ESB, hefeweizen, Belgian Imperial Stout, gose, to name a few. The quality of the beers I had were on target as well, and enhancing the beers were their branded glassware, goblets and pub pints, plus little tasters. If that weren't enough, the bar is well staffed as well, so you won't be waiting for long for another round.

The irony of my trip is that I didn't taste any of the IPA's, but that's fine; I'll be back many more times.

Big space with a large bar, several tables and even some couches. The quality of the beer is somewhat inconsistent. Service was friendly and helpful. There was a selection of 14 different beers on tap when I visited. They also have a selection of cans to go in a cooler. They now serve food. The home made bread was very good. The pizza looked worth a try.

Kind of hard to find, in the industrial suites behind home Depot. Neat place, some really cool details love the pendant lights made out of old circular saw blades. IMO the best brewery in Waukesha county, nothing stellar but solid all around. Good service. They are moving to a bigger location in the fall of '18.

Very good example of how a tasting room should be run.

Will probably be 5's across the board once I get back to try the food, which comes out of their very own food truck parked out back.

My only knock is that it IS in Waukesha, which gives the tasting room a distinctly suburban feel (hence the Texas Roadhouse BBQ just down the street). But they beer is some of the best in region and the food looked fabulous.

Don't let the 2.5 vibe bother you. Just because it wasn't hoppin' at the time I was there doesn't mean it's always like that. But their products are awesome. I loved about half of their brews the first time I was there. Then I had their most recent oktoberfest brew and that's what made me write this review. A small brewery with top notch stuff. Try it out. They even won a couple awards too.

A new brewery in the suburbs of Milwaukee, this small brewery with a comfortable taproom serves some of the best beer around. All their beers are consistently great across all styles.

Been here a few times and always leave with a growler. It is still relatively new, but the atmosphere is friendly and the staff is knowledgeable and prompt with their service. Great beers and being close to my house make it an easy choice to visit!

First time visiting. A bit sterile inside with not much on the walls and not much feel overall. Service was decent but nothing out of the ordinary. Beer selection was varied, quality was decent, but beers with approaching styles they were supposed to emulate but not quite there.

If you are looking for a place you can visit that is family friendly and fun this is your place. Although they have somewhat limited hours at this time they still offer bags leagues as well as yoga classes on Saturdays. The staff goes above and beyond to be friendly and will always greet you with a smile and a hello. The beer selection is somewhat small but the quality makes up for that. You will like this place so much you will find yourself coming back for the beer and the fun.

Reviewing this place after my third visit. All of my stops have been very enjoyable. Raised Grain's timing on opening a brewery in this part of Waukesha was perfect - it is a very underserved area. Though their overall location may be good, finding the place isn't the easiest. It is about 200 yards off of Bluemond Rd in one of those mini business park locations. Not sure what the space was before Raised Grain moved in but they've done a great job of turning into a comfortable space. There's seating for about 50 people plus a bar that holds around 20. The quality of their beer is quite high - Six Stone Scotch Ale, Paradocs Red, Black Walnut Stout and Birdseye Tripel are all excellent. Service is attentive - they are never short of help. If you want food they serve giant pretzels or will cook you a frozen pizza. Bringing in your own food is also an option. Some nights there's a food truck available - usually Thursdays though tonight they had Flying Dog Pizza which unfortunately was utter garbage for the tariff. Overall this is a great spot and one I will frequent often.

UPDATE 1/20/17 - Raised Grain is now serving food. Handmade pizza and a variety of appetizers are now available. What I had last night was excellent - Hummus Dip and Greek Pizza.
