Here’s the skinny... Heavily oated and wheated, but still hop forward. A bright snap in the initial surge of flavor, but the hop bite quickly fades to dank resin, honeydew melon, fresh pine sap, and grapefruit zest. A West Coast-style classic lineup of flavors with that quintessential NE haze and soft mouthfeel. Mixed yeast fermentation got that old-skool Chico tag teaming with the London Ale III, for intercontinental harmony.

Released on 5/20/2020 and reviewed 4 days later. Poured into a snulip glass. It pours an opaque, pastel lemon color with a luxurious, creamy, ecru-colored cap and thin film of lacing. The nose features tart lemon peel, pineapple, and lite floral hops. The taste opens dry and tart with lots of lemon and grapefruit. Quite dank. There are also hints of pineapple, melon, oats, and wheat cracker. The Calypso hops add a nice earthy touch. By mid-palate, resinous pine and the bittering Cascade and Bravo hops dominate. Although lacking some of tropical sweetness found in hazy pale ales brewed in New Jersey, the tart, dry bitterness lends a West Coast feel. The mouth feel is great! It's thick and creamy, with pleasant carbonation, and the 7% ABV gives it real substance. Overall, Situation Normal is very nicely done. I think it's the first time Two Ton has canned it and hopefully it will become a regular canned option.
