Three different cranberry additions, dry-hopped with Ariana. Which gives notes of blackberry and black currant. Brewed in honor of the memory of Kenilworth Firefighter Anthony 'AJ' DeVito.

On draught at the brewery on the day of its release. It pours a pretty, magenta-plum color with a large, fluffy, bright white cap and significant lacing. It's a very attractive pour. The fruit-forward nose is rather subdued. The taste opens fruity and decidedly sour. You can taste the cranberry immediately but as the glass warms it becomes sweeter with the notes of dark berry and currant emerging from the Ariana hops. It finishes with medium-bitterness. This ale is medium-bodied with fairly lively carbonation and with an ABV of 6.2% a second pour is welcome. Unfortunately, the keg kicked before I could order another. Red Engine #63 is not your typical fruity IPA. The tastes of cranberry, blackberry, and currant are bold and the sweetness and sourness well-balanced. It's a fitting tribute to the memory of a local firefighter. I don't know whether Two Ton will brew it again and I'm glad to have tried it.
