Pint on draught at the brewery. It pours a hazy cola color with orange hues, and a large, thick, creamy, eggshell-colored cap and lots of thick, soapy lacing. It has a rather subdued nose features cola, gingerbread, caramel, molasses, and spice. It really does taste like gingerbread. It also tastes of caramel, cookie batter, molasses, and cola, along with a hint of spice and bitterness at the finish. The tastes are distinct but mellow. The mouth feel is soft and pillowy with moderate carbonation. It's very easy to drink at 6.5% ABV. It goes down very easily! Overall, despite my initial concern there is nothing gimmicky about this Brown Ale. It really does taste like gingerbread. It's a nice, easy drinker. It's appropriate for casual drinking or as a lite dessert beer.
