Pint on draught at the brewery. A little over a week since release. It pours a hazy, golden straw color with a thick, foamy, milk-white head and extensive, soapy lacing. The smell features lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, and berry. The taste opens with tart lemon and grapefruit rind, followed by cotton candy, melon, and stone fruit. The flavors are soft and somewhat mellow in a pleasing way. It finishes with considerable hop bitterness, which provides a nice balance to the initial taste. This ale is well carbonated and very easy to drink with an ABV of 5.9% Overall, Socially Acceptable is enjoyable and a great beer to drink with friends and good conversation.
