Collaboration with our good friends at Twin Elephant Brewing. This double IPA was brewed with fresh coconut and lime. Double dry hopped with Citra, Motueka, and Wakatu.

Poured from fresh can into a snulip glass. It pours a dense, murky, muddy orange color with more than a finger of fluffy, milk-white cap and clinging lacing. Its nose is tropical with lemon, lime, ripe melon, and mango, along with a whiff of coconut. It drinks like a tropical punch with lemon, lime, and stone fruit notes from the Motueka hops and earthy sweetness from the Wakatu. The coconut sweetness is evident and it compliments the tropical fruit. There is modest bitterness at the finish. Its mouth feel is thick and creamy with appropriate carbonation, and it doesn't feel like 9% ABV. Overall, I'd describe 2-Player Co-Op as a pina colada DIPA but it doesn't come across as gimmicky. It's a fun summertime beer to drink.

Pours around a finger of head, cream white, sizzles off at a rapid clip, lacing starts off well but lacks stick. Thick puree looking liquid, opaque, apricot yellow color, visually could be a glass of fruit juice. In the nose the lime is quite evident, the coconut a little less so, can't help but get your mind veering towards kiwi, mango and other tropical fruit scents, about as dank as it could get given that lime, not getting much lift to it. Full-bodied, low carbonation, moves leadenly across the palate. Coconut takes a nice step forward and balances out the lime. Hint of biscuit or pie crust along with oats. More creamy than dry mouth feel. To me it comes off as sweet. In many regards I would consider this a "dessert beer" that isn't dark. Pleasing enough for what it is. (No canning date - hello breweries, if you ever think a review is unfair help customers determine if the product is fresh or not when bought (I bought this 1/25/23 at the Glen Ridge Bottle King, for all I know it sat there for months)).
