16oz can from IAmJacksHopTongue (thanks!). No canning date labeled but Reid doesn't send old hops. Served in a Barrel and Barley teku. Enjoyed 9/28/17.
Pours a cloudy orange with three fingers of fluffy white head. The foam shrinks to a patchy layer with a broad collar that imparts copious lacing.
Smells of citrus, mild pine, floral hops and crackers. Pretty nice indeed.
Pleasantly bitter citrus kicks off the flavor. Orange peel, flower petals, faint pine resin and crackery malt. Any alcohol presence is appropriately concealed by the hops.
Body is on the lighter side of medium with moderate carbonation. Piney, citrusy hops oils linger on the palate in the bitter finish.
Some fine work here by Ellison. It's good to be reminded that bitter IPAs are still delicious.

A - Pours a lightly hazed golden orange with a two finger creamy white head. Heavy amount of soapy lacing.
S - Aroma is tangerine, mango, grapefruit and sweet caramel malts.
T - The taste follows the aroma. Tangerine, mango, pineapple, grapefruit and caramel malts. Finishes with a nice amount of piney hops.
M - Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with a soft dry finish.
O - Another great IPA from Ellison. Huge tropical fruits with a good amount of piney hops in the finish.
