A - Pours a hazy golden orange with a one finger creamy white head. Heavy amount of soapy lacing.

S - Aroma is yogurt, green apple skins, lemon and oak.

T - The taste is lemon, lime, green apple, white wine vinegar, oak, yogurt and light earthiness.

M - Medium body with medium carbonation. Soft mouthfeel with a crisp dry finish.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, 2018 vintage bottling. Pours lightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense white head with solid retention, that reduces to nothing eventually. Light spotty lacing on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red/green apple, melon, red/white wine, hay, straw, grass, peppercorn, toasted oak, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of oaken vanilla, leathery/musty funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, red wine barrels, and pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red/green apple, melon, red/white wine, hay, straw, grass, peppercorn, toasted oak, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of oaken vanilla, leathery/musty funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate lactic tart/sourness, and yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red/green apple, melon, red/white wine, hay, straw, grass, peppercorn, toasted oak, wheat, cracker, white bread, vanilla, light funk/vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, red wine barrels, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tart/sourness and yeast/oak spiciness balance; with zero puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tart/sourness and spicy yeast/oak. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and fairly acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is an awesome wine barrel aged sour/wild ale! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, red wine barrels, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish, not overly lactic. Awesome well rounded Brett/bacteria complexity, red wine barrel presence, and pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. A really enjoyable offering, and spot on style example as expected of the brewery.
