A - Pours pitch black with a thin tan head. Light soapy lacing.
S - Aroma is vanilla, coffee, oak and bourbon.
T - The taste is chocolate, coffe, vanilla, toffee, plums, oak and a light bourbon heat.
M - Medium body with medium/low carbonation. Silky mouthfeel with a still dry finish.
O - Really dig this. The barleywine shines through the Gravity base. Greta mix of flavors.

This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and very little lacing.
This smells like caramel, vanilla, bourbon, dark chocolate, roasted malt, and coffee.
This feels much more stout-like than barleywine-like, which is fine, as their base stout (Gravity) is so excellent. There's coffee, chocolate, and a some barrel-y vanilla type flavors, with caramel and oaky spice from the bourbon, along with just a hint of toffee and dark fruit.
This is medium bodied, with very little booziness to it. It's surprisingly drinkable for what it is.
I almost always really like Ellison's big barrel aged beers. They seem to always source great barrels, and the stout base they usually use - Gravity - is just built for great barrel aging.

Really enjoyed this. Very dark almost black color with minimal head. Great bourbon flavor. Very smooth with not a lot of carbonation. High gravity!

Not a good choice for beers to blend, IMO. Result tastes odd and thin.
