1 PINT can
Served in a snifter
This beer pours black and appears to lack much in the way of carbonation. I got a little aggressive with the second half of the can as I poured and barely got a skim of head.
Vanilla, chocolate, and coffee aromas along with some anise.
Vanilla flavor with some coffee on the back end. Anise. Dark chocolate.
Full bodied with a smooth, thick mouthfeel and very low carbonation
Damn tasty beer.

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not that much lacing.
This smells like vanilla, fudge, roasty coffee, and oak.
This about mid-level to medium high level for BA stouts from this excellent brewery. The main takeaway is how fudgy and decadent the base beer itself seems - the vanilla and coffee are complementary to the barrel and the stout here. There's some nice oak and spice, a bit of char, some caramel, and just waves of deep fudgy goodness here.
This is medium bodied, creamy, with no real booziness to it. It's slightly syrupy but nothing out of control.
Nothing has yet approached Quantum Gravity in terms of supreme Ellison quality for me yet, but this is still quite nice.

A - Pours pitch black with a thin tan head. Nice amount of soapy lacing.
S - Aroma is coffee, vanilla and huge bourbon.
T - The taste is black coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, oak and bourbon.
M - Medium body with low carbonation. Syrupy mouthfeel with a smooth dry finish.
O - Another really solid BBA stout from Ellison. The coffee and vanilla aren’t overpowering and blend perfectly. Deceptively drinkable for 12%.
