Brewed in conjunction with ModCup Coffee in Jersey City Heights, our first local collaboration beer utilizes a cold brew coffee in a wort reminiscent of a light, dry stout. The end result is a coffee forward craft beer with minimal bitterness and a light coffee kiln and chocolate malt backbone.

On-tap at Departed Soles Brewing Co., Jersey City, NJ
A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a thin light tan head that died down, leaving a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of cold brew coffee are present in the nose.
T: The taste is dominated by flavors of cold brew coffee and has underlying notes of lactose and dark malts.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. It isn't as thick and smooth compared to other beer in the style.
O: This is very much a coffee stout that is like drinking a cup of cold brew coffee with some beer mixed into it. It's really nice if you are a coffee fan.
